1)  Your primary function includes enforcing the dungeon rules and keeping a
watchful eye on everything going on regarding play areas and the use of equipment.
Other aspects are secondary such as social areas, doorways, music, lighting and
temperature control.

2)  Stay focused on the play happening.  Ensure the safety and security of the
players.  Preserve the integrity of the dungeon and its environment.

3)  Let others know you are a DM by wearing a designated name tag, button or vest
of some kind that is visible in dim light.  It is good to have a pair of heavy shears for
cutting ropes or restraints if necessary in an emergency, and also a flashlight.  Check
to be sure that equipment is working and that extra supplies such as batteries are
available.

4)  Shifts are determined generally by your availability, how many other DMs are
present and other factors about the event relevant to your experience.  Discuss the
length of your shift upon arrival if you haven’t determined it before the event.

5)  Dungeon etiquette may vary depending on the event.  Check upon your arrival for
specific setup details to be followed for the participating group.

Examples may include :
Lighting
Talking
Observation areas
Sports such as blood, use of bull whips and needles
Group interest
